Finding My Thumbs

Here is a video of Cayden struggling to get his thumb. It is pretty cute. He is much better at it now but still sometimes prefers his passy.

Lacey's First Hair Cut

REALLY!!! Well, just a trim. It only took three years to work up to it! :)

Bella's Preschool Graduation

Bella Graduated from Preschool at the end of May. She had a great year and loved all her friends and teachers. She was quiet the socialite! It was fun to experience this milestone in her life. I wasn't even sad until they played a slide show of the kids set to music. I think it was "Forever Young". Don't listen to it. It will get you (and me) every time!

Cayden 1 month old

Wow it feels so good to be past a month old! Cayden now weighs 10 pounds 10 ounces and is 22.5 inches long. He seems like a heavy boy already. He is definitely filling out and doesn't look like a new born any more. As you can tell, Bella and Lacey adore him and like to hold him any chance they get.

HAPPY EASTER

We had a VERY relaxing Easter. Mommy and Daddy tried to sleep in but the Easter bunny does have to get up and hide the eggs right? The girls had so much fun finding each little egg surprise in the back yard and eating gobs of candy. After bath time daddy made all of us omelets and OJ. It was wonderful!!! Then we spent the day playing, watching Easter specials and taking pictures. Isn't Cayden such a cute Easter Egg??

21 Days to go!!

Not long now and boy (Boy!) can I feel it. At my last doctors appointment they told me that he could have possibly dropped and I didn't really believe it until about 2 days ago. All of a sudden it felt like his head was grinding against my walking bones (walking bones is a nice term don't you think?). Now, I know that this cannot actually be the case the poor thing but it was defiantly uncomfortable to walk. And I have started asking the girls to pick things up off the floor for me and hand them to me or put them on the couch because it is just so much effort to bend down over and over again!! Ha. He is a heavy little man and you can feel his little arms and legs and elbows and knees if you put your hands on either side of my belly. I think he is taking up all space available in there! Anyway, here are some belly shots for you...

Bella's 5th Birthday

We had a great time getting ready for Bella's big 5th birthday celebration. We made strawberry cookies with frosting and sprinkles that Bella got to hand out herself to her preschool classmates. She helped make her own party postcard invitations and helped stuff the burrow pinata. She wanted to have a decorate your own cupcake party this year so that is what we did. It started off by having a shaving cream cupcake race with heart sprinkles and all. Of course, we had to get messy in the shaving cream after the race! It was great! It is hard to believe that she is 5 years old and will be staring kindergarten this fall but it is so good to celebrate the wonderfully amazing 5 year old that we have! Thank you for celebrating with us!!

50 days to go!

I am feeling really big and heavy like I am really 9 months pregnant instead of 8 months. Spider veins are popping out, braxton hicks are now an all throughout the day occurrence as is bone and nerve, and back aches and pains. I suppose that is what you get with baby #3. I do really good during the day and then after dinner I just can't seem to get up from the table. And if I do... (ha. when I do...) all my body really wants to do is remain sitting on the couch. Schane gave me an awesome back rub last night and that helped alot. Not much continuous sleep these days either. I seem to wake up all throughout the night in back pain or having turn over or get up to pee! But what a joy it is to have a baby kicking inside you. Really it is. I am going to miss this. Miss the wonder and anticipation of this miracle --for us and that we witness in our girls eyes as they feel my belly in hopes of feeling him stretch and kick. And to be reminded every time you go anywhere by the smiles and encouraging looks from other mothers and fathers as they open the door for you and ask you how far along you are. It is good...............as long as you are comfortably sitting down. Tee hee hee

Expecting Our New Brother...

Out with the green and purple and in with the blue! We all had fun painting the new baby room togeher. It was sad paining over the girls room--espically for mommy ( I'm not good with change!) but it was refreshing to see the finshed boy room.

Haven't we been here before??

Bye Bye bugs and leaves...

the girls thought paining the walls was such a treat!

Have you ever seen such enthusiasm in a painter?? Ha!

GO! Lacey GO!

Here is what the room looked like after 2 coats of primer. Phew...
We are not done yet!

Baby Blue

Have you ever seen such a proud father?? Ok. Maybe in the delivery room but you should have seen how happy it made Schane to paint the room blue and put up his superhero posters!! A dream comming true! We like it too!

BUNK BEDS

We have started getting the room ready for the new baby so Bella and Lacey got new bunkbeds!! We all helped daddy put them together and the girls are so excited to be sharing a room now. Lacey didn't even mind leaving her crib bed behind. Although it was emotional for me just like the night when Bella first slept in her big girl bed.

Sytlin with the new bed!

Bella adores being on top. "Look mom I can touch the celling!!"
(Do you recognize that dark, straight haired baby behind her in the picture??)
Lacey picked out Dora and Boots sheets just like her big sister to go on her new bed. She likes being on the bottom too. Goodnight!
